about
Long ago, the city of Atlantis uses its robot colossus to defend itself from various conquering armies. In a time of peace, a scheming politician becomes wary of the automaton's might and decrees that he should be dismantled and buried at sea. Centuries later, Atlantis is under attack and the city fathers re-animate their watery golem in desperation. To their chagrin, he has not forgotten his betrayal at the hands of his charges. In revenge, he destroys the city before being evaporated by the midday sun.
lyrics
i am the aquanaut asleep beneath the waves
i drank that bitter cup that put me in my grave
inside this bathysphere my soul has turned to rust
from phoenix flame to ash, from angel wing to dust
they dredged the wine-black sea in search of all my bones
over the centuries my flesh had turned to stone
colossus that i was, they tore me limb from limb
rebuilt in chthonic halls, i finally walk again
the blazing sun evaporates me
throw my bones back into the sea
Atlantis seeks to know her destroyer
revenant of her champion warrior
Utterly hypnotic, heavy, and ethereal beyond what I can aptly describe here. It'll take you careening down a kaleidoscopic wormhole of audial bliss. cynothoglys

ALL HOPE ABANDON, YE WHO ENTER HERE. Through me you go into a city of weeping; through me you go into eternal pain; through me you go amongst the lost people. Hope not ever to see Heaven. I have come to lead you to the other shore; into eternal darkness; into fire and into ice. Do not be afraid; our fate cannot be taken from us; it is a gift. - Inferno, Dante Alighieri.
